I think the new site looks better than it did, but I am not a big fan of the colors. They just don't seem to work well together.
I did find one bug I thought I would pass along. On all of the various home pages, the links to forum posts go to http://localhost/elginite/forum/viewtopic...
The registration email also had a link to localhost.
I am also not a fan of the accordion (Blog Posts, Blog Comments, Forum Posts) on the homepage being activated on mouseover. It should be on click. If a user accidentally moves the mouse over one of the headings, the part they are reading or trying to interact with suddenly disappears. For example, if Blog Comments is open and the user wants to click on Blog home page link and they move to far, the Forum Posts panel opens. Making the interaction on click would fix the issue.

the localhost issue has been fixed now.
with regards to the color scheme, let's wait to hear more from others before we make any changes.
as for the mouseover accordion technique, it's not widely deployed yet. i'm sure there are other sites, but the only site i can think of that uses it is apple.com. apple is known for their design and usability prowess, so i'm betting they've thoroughly tested it for usability.
again with that one, i think we'll wait and see how other people react to it before we make any changes.

I don't have any problems with the expansion of the sections on mouse-over, because it's easy to go back if I accidentally moved the mouse too far.
The combination of that red with green did jump out at me for a while, but I think it's starting to grow on me. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Also, the email sent to my account when I forgot my password also has "localhost/elginite" in the link instead of "elginite.org".

I had to use the forgot password feature and the email still has http://localhost/elginite/forum... for the links.
