    On Thursday, August 4 beginning at 7PM, crank your engines and motor on down to Festival Park in downtown Elgin for a triple feature of fast-moving fun, food and a family flick. In conjunction with the City of Elgin’s Family Movie Night (featuring the hit Disney movie Cars) we present our first ever Downtown Elgin Cruise Night - Presented by Ken Stepps State Farm, showcasing classic, cool cars from all eras and styles along the walkways in Festival Park.


    The 2011 Downtown Elgin Pub Crawl - Presented by Euclid Beverage takes place Friday, August 12 beginning at 8PM. The streets of downtown will be alive with activity, with musicians on street corners to entertain crawlers as they travel to our participating bars:

    - The Afterset - Douglas Street Sports Pub
    - Elgin Public House - The Gasthaus
    - La Puesta del Sol - Martini Room
    - Medusa’s - Villa Verone

    Each bar will offer unique drink specials and other goodies. Crawlers may begin at any of the 8 participating bars and will be given a route to follow from there.


    This Thursday, August 4 beginning at 6:30PM come say hello to this week’s celebrity bartender is Elgin broadcasting legend, Jeff Myers of Channel 17’s Elgin Today and the Chef Jeff & Jeff Show on WRMN-AM 1410.


    On Friday, August 5, Martini Room invites you to celebrate at their big 7th Anniversary Bash.

    In honor of their 7th Anniversary, Martini Room is offering $2 off all new martinis from their recently unveiled New Martini Menu.


    On Saturday, August 13 from Noon-11PM, the Puerto Rican Heritage Organization (PRHO) invites you to Festival Park in downtown Elgin for their annual BoriquaFest.


    The United Way of Elgin is celebrating their 17th Annual Day of Caring on Friday, September 9. This year, volunteers are needed to help complete over 30 service projects for local social services agencies. You can sign up as an individual or get a team of friends or coworkers together! Once you register, you will be able to pick a project that best suits your team’s skills and time availability.
