Al's in downtown Elgin had the best steak that I can ever remember this past summer when I was there. It was mouth watering, juicy, beefy, and absolutely perfect. Since then it has gone downhill. They have a lot of options, but the quality is lacking. Its also expensive. I think Ponderosa is 100 times better...too bad they are no longer in Elgin!
