All you can eat with no waiting for the food to cook at a reasonable price keeps me coming back to fill my plate. I wish I could remember the one employee’s name who was policing our area. She was a true professional at serving the public’s needs.

  2. Boxcar says:

Are the soft drinks really almost $3.00 there??

  3. jessica says:

i am not a big fan of most buffets like this, but it’s better than old country buffet.

  4. Common Sense Clarence Hayward says:

Sorry Boxcar, I don’t know the answer to how much the soft drinks cost but I would hope they would allow us to drink water to save money and also it is healthier.

    Can’t comment.

Liberal fascism in the guise of political correctness censorship doesn’t allow it.

But I already know my opinion so it isn’t my loss, is it?

  7. Elgin Girl says:

It was good when it first opened. Since then it has gone downhill. They have a lot of options, but the quality is lacking. Its also expensive. I think Ponderosa is 100 times better…too bad they are no longer in Elgin!

  8. Common Sense Clarence Hayward says:

I remember Ponderosa and I remember that the steaks didn’t really taste like steak but something sort of like steak.

Al’s in downtown Elgin had the best steak that I can ever remember this past summer when I was there. It was mouth watering, juicy, beefy, and absolutely perfect.
