Just having fun with my vintage camera. These pictures were taken early Sunday evening in downtown Elgin.

Nice pictures.
Just a thought on choice of words. When I am going to Grove Ave. which is almost never I would say I am going to downtown Elgin. When I am going to the library I would say I am going to the library.
I don’t associate the library or The Centre as being in downtown Elgin.
Very nice photos.
Uh… thanks for your definition of downtown Clarence. I disagree. I would basically say the library is the northwest boundary, but hey, that’s just me
In my younger the years the library was downtown when it was in the building that now has some restaurant in it.
I guess when I think of the definition of downtown it includes other businesses being next to it.
The library is off on it’s own.
Doesn’t matter one way or the other anyway.
According to the City of Elgin’s map it looks like the library is not downtown, the Centre is.
But it’s on the other side of the street only so calling it “downtown isn’t much of a stretch. Probably 50 feet away from the boundary.
