Elgin Bike & Dine
The Elgin Bike & Dine on September 19th was fantastic! (Yes, this post is long overdue, but my photos were inaccessible for a bit.)
Nearly 30 people gathered together to ride on mini bike rides between several dining stops in a progressive lunch. The ride totaled 13 miles in all. First stop was Ravenheart Coffee. It was great to see so many bikes parked outside. Maybe some day that will be the norm! (Fingers crossed.)
Next we went to Douglas Street Sports Bar for appetizers. Tasty.
And the next few stops were so fun, I forgot to take photos. :( We had soup and salad at In the Neighborhood Deli, then entrees at Elgin Public House. Last stop was Elgin Public Museum, where everyone enjoyed Al’s famous Burns shakes and malts.
Don’t worry if you missed out. It sounds like the Downtown Neighborhood Association wants to make this a yearly event!

wow, that must have been a lot of fun. thanks for posting pictures!
