What kind of thin crust is it? By chance do they have a wood-fired oven? If so, I'm there! I love a good thin crust pizza.

Red Bar's pizza is much better now than when it opened.

And I can't figure out why Red Bar isn't packed for its "all you can eat" pasta night. Unlimited, good-quality pasta for $8.95. It's been on Wednesday night for some time, but I understand it will be moving to Tuesday nights in November.

The comments and RS's photo of the thin crust have got me interested in giving it another try. When I had the pizza right after Red Bar's opening it was pretty doughy and unimpressive stuff.

I liked it. What I like more about that place is how the owner and waitstaff are interested in really helping you find a wine you like, and are willing to allow (and seem rather generous with) people tasting a lot of various offerings. I personally haven't been much of a wine drinker myself, and went in there expecting to just have a beer with friends, but since he was so generous and happy to suggest some tastes of different wines, I ended up finding something I actually liked a bunch, and (shocker) enjoyed a glass of wine rather than a beer. He's interested in actually helping customers discover a liking for wine.

That's the kind of intangible a new business needs, and may be why at 11:00pm on a sat night the place was still hopping with a least half the tables full the night I went.
