It will take community involvement, as we will be raising the money to do it. However this will be an all day event (after the parade). It will be family friendly with food, fun activities, and entertainment. Topping it all off with a fireworks display the Elgin deserves. More info to come. We totally agree with you. But everyone in this page is starting the sparks on racism. Not every Mexican in Elgin is a gang member. There are some great people like my family we been here since Kennedy was president my grandma and grandpa migrated to this country for a better life, and i wish you guys could be in our shoes. It is hard where everywhere you go people are discriminating. Please do not think that every Mexican is bad.
