Elgin Police Department statistics showed that there were 129 cases in 2007, 152 in 2008 and 62 cases of identity theft so far in 2009.

That’s an interesting statistic for identity theft in Elgin. The number seems to be increasing each year.

Hopefully he will be found guilty. It does say he used another man’s social security number. With the ruling of the wonderful supreme court this past week, it has to be proven they knew they were stealing another person’s identity. Wish someone on the supreme court would become a victim of identity theft, wonder how they would react then.
