    Very interesting story about the Elgin Riverside Club. I had read a book called Bowling Alone (http://www.bowlingalone.com/) at some point, which sort of chronicles the demise of such associations, and it’s good to see that in Elgin we have been able to buck the trend.

    The Elks also got a new building, so they’re probably doing fine as well.
