I wanted to post this as an example of a local community college that had the good taste and foresight to retain a good architect for their building project. The Starlight Theatre, designed by Chicago-based Studio Gang Architects was completed in 2003 for Rock Valley College, which is Rockford’s community college. The project won five awards and was featured in more than a dozen publications, including Architectural Record.
