In Wisconsin, it’s Obama Lama

I got this email from Mike Noland/Citizens for Noland about a caravan that will be traveling from Elgin this weekend to Wisconsin to help out with the Obama campaign up there:

Tuesday, November 4 is now just 30 days away. The Countdown to Change will not doubt be counting on Wisconsin to elect Illinois’ favorite son President of the United States. Each Saturday volunteers from Citizens for Noland travel to Beloit, Wisconsin taking Barack’s message of hope and change to voters there. Please join me and be a part of history as we bring Barack’s message to the voters of Wisconsin. I hope you will take this opportunity to respond and let me know that you will join us and head to Wisconsin for Barack this Saturday, October 11th.

This Saturday, October 11th, 2008, the 22nd District Obama Caravan will be traveling again to Beloit.

We HOPE to see you there!

Location: 17 North Grove, Elgin, Illinois
Time: 10 a.m.

I’m not an Obama fan myself, but I’m happy to promote this event since it will keep volunteers out of Indiana.

By the way, yes, the book in the display does say, “The Coming of the Cosmic Christ.” Hallelujah!

That reminds me of something strange I saw last night:

Two young black men on the corner of Grove and Kimball holding a sign that says “Jesus Christ was black.” Also on the sign was a picture of Jesus. With devil horns.

I couldn’t quite understand that last part.
