I was born and raised in Elgin, and lived there until I moved to Los Angeles in late 1994. some of the facts you dug up are things I didn't even know. Knew about the Palm Sunday tornado, though, my uncle "Curly" Kubiak, a former downtown Elgin jeweler, told me about his experience with that monster! One other thing. A few years ago, as I was starting out in Hollywood, I worked on a TV series called Babylon 5. You may know its' star...former Elginite Bruce Boxleitner!
