Elgin police and paramedics responded to an attack on an elderly woman this morning by two pit bulls.

Lawyers choose Golden

The Illinois Bar Association released the results of an attorneys’ poll showing the 16th Circuit justice is favored among participating lawyers, with more than 91 percent voting “yes” to whether Golden meets the requirements of the office. The Daily Herald reported fundraising figures for the 49th district candidates:
State Rep. Tim Schmitz, a Batavia Republican, raised $79,160 this period in an effort to ward off challenger Jim Krenz of Carpentersville, who has raised $62,933.
