Truthfully I didn’t even look at the date of this article I just opened it & commented. In my long career of being a voter registar, election judge before running for office myself I’d never dream of breaking the law for the purpose of winning any election. I guess some people have ethical standards while others like Acorn, etc. don’t!

On Elginite you can make comments on a THREE YEAR OLD article, but not on John G. Dalton’s ECC candidacy blurb.

According to the Kane County Voting Process Binder (instruction book for polling judges) a first-time, mail-in voter must show ID. The ID does not prove citizenship; it could be a checkbook or a utility bill. All the others are signature-comparison-to-file.
The problem is that voters can register through a political organization and we are at the mercy of the integrity of the registrar. (ACORN, for example, registers voters and has been convicted of voter fraud in the past.)
According to the citizenship test, voting is our #1 right. We should act like it and treat it as such.

It is the law that in order to have the privilege of voting in this country you must be a U.S. Citizen. I have always wondered why you don’t have to prove it! Why isn’t it law to require a photo I.D (issued by a recognized U.S. authority) and a copy of your birth certificate OR a U.S. Passport?

Outrageous! Voting in elections is a RIGHT reserved for legal CITIZENS. Of course you know another name for illegal aliens is unregistered democrats… When will our Federal govt. lock down our borders? Their primary job is to protect our country from all threats both here & abroad.
