Aurora State Senator Chris Lauzen actually had a good chance of winning Dennis Hastert’s 14th district seat. Oberweis is a formidable opponent, but they were polling even, their war chests were comparable, and if anything Lauzen had an edge, because he has a history of running successful campaigns that won by large margins.
