I also think Elgin would benefit from a variety of eateries. Middle-Eastern, Chinese, Korean, Greek, Jamaican.... I need to stop or I'm going to get hungry!

I love the Public House too. I've never had a bad meal there yet or bad service. It's just a great place!

You only touched on the pub's burgers and beer? They have incredible seafood, the shrimp was very fresh and tasty. I had a turkey apple and goat cheeswe wrap that was very fresh and clean and tasty. They have alot of good organic stuff, which is a good break from the usual burger/wings/beer joints!

My dream idea for an Elgin restaurant is a Signature Room type place at the top of the Tower Building, like the 95th at the Hancock Building. Something classy and interesting that would draw people to Elgin just for that.

Awesome. Hope to see you there, TDM.

For everyone else, don't forget the meeting today is at 5:30, not the usual 7.

Wednesday, May 9th there will be a city council meeting where they will consider extending the deadline to CANCEL the Water Street development. They will also be considering purchasing more hybrid electric cars, and other good things! The agenda was posted today, and there is an article in the Daily Herald. Check it out! I think I'll attend the meeting (my first).
