We’re on today’s front page
October 16th, 2006The Courier ran a story today that included a mention of this blog.
Elgin doesn’t evoke imagery of a flourishing high-tech community. It’s not the Silicon Fox Valley, after all.
But several local-interest Web sites have sprung up, and they’re slowly growing in popularity, providing networks for people in town. They haven’t reached the scale of Web juggernauts such as YouTube or Wikipedia, but they’re out there. (Courier 10/16/06)
The story goes on to describe Steve Munson’ DNA blog, this blog and the MySpace Elgin group.
Thanks to Kent Green for the story (especially for saying I seem to have “an informed view on any matter facing Elgin” :) and to Steve for the heads up.

Congratulations!
My mom mentioned the article in a telephone conversation with me last night. (she forgot that I told her about your blog a few months ago)
