Architectural Record

Definitely check out the October issue of Architectural Record, because it discusses lifestyle centers, “instant town centers,” and other ideas applicable to Elgin.  It also showcases a great branch library (Palo Verde Branch Library and Maryvale Community Center) that will hopefully inspire the folks in charge of the GBL branch for the far west side. The budgets are similar, I believe.

Also check out the University of Cincinnati Campus Recreation Center. I wish our recreation center looked like that!
