But I wanted to let everyone know that your favorite bar "The Gast Haus" is under new ownership and managment and being run by Elgin locals who grew up in and around the Elgin punk scene. We are dying to do shows there. However at this time we can only fit around 100 or so people. We have some big plans to redo the upstairs and have bands play up there, where we will be able to fit many more people. Currently we had to close the restaurant to bring everything up to code but the bar is still open and doing better than ever. So please stop on down and hang out with some old friends. Also any bands that want to play contact us via our myspace page. www.myspace.com/gasthausbar and send a message directed towards Katie she is handling all shows.
